![]() ![]() There are a lot of technical problems too. the game world looks lame and the car models aside some damage modelling, look basic and lacklustre. To the graphics now, the game looks absolutely rubbish. Even drag races get frustrating, and you would try to avoid police chases as they are not worth the effort and the cost in damages. Due to its poor controls racing gets easily frustrating. In case you got no money left, then you are in a dead end and the game does a hell of a poor job with its save system. ![]() that would leave you with a permanently damaged car that costs a lot to fix. You could easily loose the control of your car and crash it. the car handling can be different with each car and upgrades, but different does not mean better. The game also fails at the physics department. this makes the whole thing feel very limited. There is only a handful of cars available in game and the upgrades available to them are limited to only a few parts to. the game brags about giving you a more technical experience that requires technical knowhow. It seems that the release of this game was an unfortunate event. I once made a dragster Volks Wagon beetle! LOL!Īt first I never knew this game even EXISTED! But now that I found out, I fell in love with this game, and the community for it! :D Try it out yourself! And mod the heck out of the game! He is making an AWESOME patch for the game that makes it 10x better! I just hope someone would make a mod that gives the game better physics and multiplayer if its possible. I posted a mod there to change the menu sounds, and they are pretty nice! :D There is someone named Raxat. Also you can get TONS of awesome mods for the game! The best website for modding is GOM-TEAM. I wish someone would create a game just like this with better graphics, racing, physics, and customization! I'm actually glad the game was abandoned because you not can get the game for free legally because there is no more ownership to the game. This game is now abandonware, because the game was so unpopular. But you can replace the sounds with pretty nice sounds. The sounds are bad, the racing is very bad, too. There are patches for the game that greatly improve performance and reduce the number of bugs.Ī sequel called Street Legal Racing: Redline (also known as Street Legal 2) was developed by Invictus in 2003.Personally, I LOVE THIS GAME! I love the car building and tuning! But I think the driving is OK. However, the game's code was written in a way that makes it run slow, even on computers that meet the recommended requirements. The game, developed in 2002, has relatively advanced graphics for its time. The damage in the game is also highly detailed - unfortunately, there is no way to repair the entire car after it has been damaged, meaning that repairing it is costly and time-consuming. Although the level of detail is not quite equal to that of the sequel, Street Legal Racing: Redline, full engines can be replaced and almost all body parts can be removed from the vehicle. ![]() The gameplay is highly mechanically oriented and almost all parts on all cars are replaceable. Examples are the "Ninja", a vehicle resembling a Honda Civic hatchback, and the "Badge", which mimics the Dodge Charger. ![]() The cars in the game are all fictionalised variations of real vehicles. Other parts of the city, as well as more cars available and upgrade parts, are unlocked by racing against AI drivers. There are four sections of the city, although only one is unlocked from the beginning of the game. The game takes place in the fictional Valo City. On June 23, 2021, a re-release titled Street Legal 1: REVision was announced by ImageCode LLC, slated for release on Steam in 2022. It is the first game in the Street Legal series. Street Legal is a racing video game developed by Invictus Games and published by Activision Value with a heavy emphasis on car customisation. ![]()
